Divesafari to uninhabited islands

This is one of the most beautiful divesafaris one is able to experience and carry out in Phuket. The dive trip goes to a group of nine uninhabited islands and reefs at the west coast of Thailand - the Similan Islands (Similan comes from Malay, meaning nine). The Islands are located northeast to Phuket. They offer  snow-white beaches, untamed jungles, impressive reefs and some of the worlds-famous diving sites wait to be discovered by you. Each dive spot differs from the other. Sloops covered by corals change with giant underwater rock formations or drop offs. Hard- and soft corals and the coral fishes seem to be larger as on other dive destinations. Huge gorgonias, sea turtles, rays, sharks, large groupers and many other attractions keep divers and underwater photographers busy. Average underwater visibility is 30 - 40 Meters.

Similan islands are a national park and refugium for many animals. They provide shelter and breeding grounds for sea life and distribute many life to surrounding Andaman Sea.

From end Ocober to middle of April Poseidon Diving offers twice a week 4-day/4-night dive safaris. The trip goes from  the south of Similan to the north of the islands. Continues to Koh Bon and Koh Tachai (both famous for their manta rays) and finish at Richelieu Rock, one of worlds best dive sites. Three to four dives per day are offered including night- and sunset dives.
