A word of Thanks We
would like to, at last, thank some people.
To the many foreign doctors and nurses, who were on holiday here when the
Tsunami occurred, who interrupted their holidays immediately and worked in
the hospitals until completely exhausted.
To the many volunteers that have worket continuously and assiduously.
To our guests, who immediately offered all their assistance, donated blood
and who, without exception, all remained in Thailand to complete their
planned holidays.
To all of those abroad who have donated and provided help and assistance;
especially those who declared themselves disposed towards sponsorship for
orphans, or families whose livelihoods were destroyed.
To the people of the various countries that, by their actions, have shown
their solidarity for those suffering here. To the media, who in most
instances, have abstained from sensational newsmongering, and have informed
neutrally and compassionately.
And especially to the Thai people and Government officials who suffered
themselves and have always tried their best to improve the situation as much
as possible for victims and their families.
Personally, I would to thank our dive instructors and crew, who in this
period have worked on rebilding the dive centre, looking after our guests so
that I could be free to attend to my other - more pressing – aid obligations.
To all our friends who did endless translations into different languages for
me.
We would also like to thank Alasdair Junor, the General Manager of the
Evason Phuket Resort for their exceptional generosity and help with the
school of Ban Bang Muang (www.sixsenses.com/evason-phuket).
To all of you : A heartfelt thanks. It is greatly appreciated.
A special “thank you” to all the Spammers, who, in spite of our filters,
clog our mailboxes. We could not afford to lose one second since the
disaster occurred, and many of us are exhausted. I, myself, because of the
stress and overload, again have eye infections and my corneas are swollen so
that, even with spectacles, I can only read my mails with difficulty.
It is “really helpful” when one gets daily hundreds of unwanted offers for
penis enlargements, Viagra or Credits, which are no more than traps.
Spammers : you are the scourge of the Internet! |
